Never, ever do I dogear the pages of my books; they need to stay lovely and pristine. So, it makes sense to get yourself a pretty bookmark too. Some of my books I've used receipts, train tickets or postcards, but recently I treated myself to something lovely.
March 15th is bookmark day, hosted over at The Biblophilic Book Blog. It's just a day to think of bookmarks, to honour the work that they do for us, and to consider all the different kinds of bookmarks people have and use.

I've been thinking of making my own bookmarks, much like that, for about a month now. It's just that I haven't been able to afford any of the supplies to do so. Hopefully with my tax returns turning up I might be able to afford some supplies and get going with making them. It'd be a nice little income on the side.
Erica, you definitely should! Check out Etsy for supplies; I always find I can get a better deal there.
And little money makers are always good. I would buy!

Dog-eared pages make me shudder!! I have a lovely set of laminated bookmarks that tuck in nicely and stay put, even after dropping the book.

This reminds me of how badly I need to get myself a good bookmark. I have been using bus tickets lately, but they always seem to end up disappearing at the most crucial moments.
Also I've never heard of a Bookmark Day before! That is so neat!
Neither had I, I Heart X, but airportlovestory tells me her bookmarks are buy one get one free at the moment so if you fancy a similar one then go check out her shop!
